-->I’m sitting here watching Shrek and I was just thinking how it’s funny that donkey’s voice is Eddie Murphy. I’m certain someone got angry saying “why’s it gotta be the voice of a black man?” as if the voice of a Black man hasn’t repetitively been used as the voice of God in many movies.

Why study for an Exam?
How's it going God's Children,
--> What’s the point of holding a ton of knowledge in my mind if I’m going to just let it drop out eventually after the test? Besides everything I need to know is already in a book. I can easily just look it up on Wikipedia or in the Library if I need to find it. There is no such thing as smart because anyone can shove a bunch of knowledge in their mind and get an A in a class. It’s a mind over matter thing. If you think you’ll fail, according to self-fulfilling prophecies as described in psychology, then you will fail. It’s as simple as that. Such as the thing called stereotype threat when people who are stereotyped into believing that they have a certain low aptitude such as Black people and the SAT then they freeze up and their minds clog up and they perform worst than their White peers.

Subhumanness of Black Women Funny? How dare you

--> So I was looking up the word subhuman and wanted to know if “subhumanness” was a real word or if there was a noun to describe the state of being subhuman. The first link in Google that popped up was “the subhumanness of black women is funny”. Great I thought. I didn’t read it. I was already in a bad mood and I didn’t feel like crying. Should I have sent them a long email cursing them out? Should I reported it to someone and see if they could take the blog or article down? No I’ll just leave it. If there’s one thing that I’ve figured out it’s that you can’t argue with a fool. A fool is not in the sense that I am so much smarter then the chump who wrote that article, but a fool as in a person who just does not see on the same eye level as me. I’m looking up while a fool looks down.

Dispersing Knowledge and the Dumb Person

-->Maybe people aren’t getting stupider, but there’s so much knowledge out there that our intelligence is just dispersed over a variety of topics. Ask a professor about any profession other than his own and he won’t know anything. Ask a student about a class that he hasn’t taken and he won’t know anything. Ask a student about a subject from one of her classes and she still won’t be able to tell you much; there’s too much info in the school of thought alone, and they usually plug and chug or regurgitate everything they learn the night before on the test anyway.
