Physical Pain

The world is full of unimaginable pain. When an addict is going cold turkey to come off of heroine they experience the real world. Because the heroine has taken the place of all the dopamine that would be there, their body no longer produces enough dopamine to cope with the pain of everyday living – so everything hurts. The end result, all the pain of the physical world without the luxury of our pleasure centers in the brain.
