To All God's Children,
--> -->My mother said once that color is not just a shade, but a state of mind. Perceiving certain colors as a threat may be adaptive evolutionarily speaking. It’s possible that we have encoded it in our minds when we see a dark skinned male at night (or whenever) to be more cautious because we associate African Americans with negative qualities like hostility. Learning certain colors as a threat may be important and necessary, but not when it falsely applies to perceptions of people.
